DISCLAIMER:  Ok, this is my site.  Because of that, I get to have one BO that I can call my favorite.  I get one BO that I can opulently promote!  :)  So because I am having fun making this site, I am going overboard on this BO, LOL!  So if you dont like it- or you dont even like this BO... guess what?  Too bad, nya nya. :=)  This is my all time favorite BO, so I am taking some time to promote it as such.  Your opinion of this particular BO, of course, may differ.

This is the single most unstoppable tactic in all of Emperor: Battle For Dune that I have ever played.  Having done this tactic over the last year perhaps more than 100 times (that is a conservative guess- most likely it is probably around 200), I have taken only three losses from it ever - all of them due to my mistakes!

Let me just put this simply:  there is no stopping this tactic.  (i list one rare exception on the details page).  I have never put this tactic on my website nor told anyone about it except my long time partner sardcore,  because I wanted to have an "ace in the hole"- a secret that no one else knew.   Every now and then, when sardcore and I took a loss, we would request a rematch, and if we were mad, we would use this tactic, and it never failed- we won the game.   Thats just how it goes.  This tactic is so sure and unbeatable, it is practically a bug.  There is just nothing you can do to stop it.   There are special conditions that must be met, however, in order to use this tactic.  If the conditions are not met, it may fail.  If the conditions are met, it is practically invincible.  WHen most games begin, all players are on equal footing.  We talk about "elite BO's" and the like knowing that for every BO, no matter how elite, it is never a sure thing because the other guy may have an elite BO also.

Well not here.  Not with this tactic.   If two partners  are doing this tactic correctly as I explain here, they will have a tremendous advantage.  When the game begins, before even a windtrap is placed, they are far more likely to win than the other guys.  Why?  Is it because the other guys are not good enough?  No, of course not.  It is simply because of game design.  There is a very special combination of units and settings, that when put together, can beat ANYTHING- except for the exact same tactic done against them, in which case you'll have a tie basically and a 50/50 chance as to who comes out on top.

One day, long ago, while thinking about this game, I asked myself this question "Is there was a way -any way- in a four player game to instantly wipe out one player?"  We all know that a 2 vs. 1 game is almost a sure win everytime.  This entire tactic rests upon this one principle:

"If we can wipe out one enemy instantly, then with two of us vs. 1 of them, its only a matter of time before we wipe out the other guy".

The question is, however, "what is the fastest possible way to wipe out someone and make it a sure thing so that it can work time and time again?"

One day, while analyzing all the units of each house, it hit Bilbo and I what the answer was.  Think with me here:

Imagine, if you will, a 30K game in which you build a factory, and then the factory is destroyed.  You will lose approximately one minute.  During that one minute, you will not be building a single vehicle, while your enemies are rapidly building a 30K army.  Then the moment you place another factory, it is destroyed again.  Losing yet another minute, and having no defense, (since you couldnt make any vehicles), your enemy rushes in and there is just no way you can stop it.  Any turrets made by your partner are instantly killed before they can even form since there is so much stuff in your base.  So you do a rematch thinking you will be able to protect your factory in the next game only to find that you are unable to do so, and once again the same thing is repeated.   Such a tactic would be virtually unstoppable...would it not?  So the question is, does such a tactic exist in this game?  The answer is "yes."
