*Elite Rushing BO For Atreides.

You are on knife fight.  Low money.  No Prebuilt base.  Your opponent is harkonnen- you know he is a rusher.  What he doesn't know is that you are going to rush him!! 

"What?  Atreides rushing harkonnen on knife fight?"

Yes, that is right.   Atreides can do something that most people never thought it could do.  Like a giant arse the size of a blimp hovering over the map, it can take a big crap littering the map with junk and overwhelm your opponent.  Clam74, aslo known as Skumclam introduced me to this BO some time ago, and I find it to be extremely effective.

The following BO is the absolute Maximum amount of units that Atreides can make with 10K no pre.  The goal is to get as many units on the map as possible, along with a couple mongoose- in order to snuff out your opponents spice.  This BO is superb vs. Ordos or Harkonnen.    Highly effective,  and this is how it is done.

With 10K, it is very simple, yet you will be stunned how well it works.  (vs Atreides it still works, but it is better defended)

Here are two variations, and I might admit both of them are excellent.

THE BUILD ORDERS (two versions.  Version 1 Recommended for most settings)

1.  Big Splurge Build:   Windtrap, Barracks, Refinery, Factory, Barracks, Windtrap, Refinery, Fremen (or Sard), Barracks, Refinery

Make infantry endless- never stopping.  6 bikes, 1 goose, 6 bikes 1 goose, etc.

Always upgrade refineries.  Do not build second refinery until first is fully upgraded.

 

2.  Standard Build (conservative):  Windtrap, Barracks, Factory, Refinery, Windtrap, Barracks,  Refinery, Barracks, Fremen (or Sard), Refinery

Make infantry endless- never stopping.  6 bikes, 1 goose, 6 bikes 1 goose, etc.

Always upgrade refineries.  Do not build second refinery until first is fully upgraded.

 

The standard build gets you vehicles right away, but lacks the big payoff 5 minutes into the game.  The big splurge build is the true form of the Clam74 Crapper- an unbelievable amount of units nonstop, flowing like a mighty sewage pipe, crapping out all over the field.  With 3 barracks, the inf rolls off diarrhea style.   You might think that not making fac first puts you at big risk vs. hark.  Not so, even on  knife fight 10k, you will be formidable.  Anything that busts into your base can get pounded easily with a turret.  A smart Hark might spice camp putting troopers on your rock.   He wont have many units out there since it will be very early.  In this case, build up your inf in your base and the moment you get bikes, use your harvs as a distraction, and rush out there.  Do not make a mino no matter how tempting- you will seal your death.    Try the Big Splurge variation - you will see.

Its as simple as that!  Do NOT make a second refinery until your first one is fully upgraded (keep to the principles I explained before).  NO FACTORY UPGRADE!  It is too expensive and we want maximum units!!  

You will take these units and MIX THEM together thoroughly keeping the mongoose towards the back.  The goose is KEY because it will kill your enemy's spice.  Wait until you get 6 bikes and 1 goose before you make a move and then rush this mega crap pile at the center of the map (if knife fight).  As each new bike/inf/goose rolls off the floor, make sure they are running to your big crap pile.  It is extremely important that they do not sit around doing nothing.   Dont worry about infantry being on the sand, if they are mixed in with your bikes well, buzsaws will not be able to mow them down and they will pop buzzsaws like balloons!  No, really, they will!!   But also use the inf rock for even more power.      Now move all your crap in front of your mongoose and have your goose fire behind the crap at the carryalls.  This will force him to rush into you.   Now, have all your little crap just simply defend themselves auto.  Only Micromanage the crap if a harv is in the way.  Send little crap on his units, send goose on harv.  Always micro your mongoose to attack carryalls / harvs- the rest just autodefends.   Whenever you see crap attacking a harv, then micromanage it to hit saws / attack move in a new direction.   While your little crap is attacking, meanwhile your mongoose is destroying the spice.  He will see this and try to send his units to your goose, but he cant get around your crap!   Lol.    Keep the little crap coming- do not stop.   If crap is distracted by harvester, do some micromanaging.  Set your goose on the harv, set the other stuff on the enemy units.   No minos needed- just a mega barrage of little crap.  Once you kill even a single carryall with your goose, he will be  injured- better yet, if you get a harv, he will be hosed.   To do this BO properly you need to be a good unit manager.    Your goal for this BO is to KILL HIS SPICE WITH MONGOOSE!!  STAY OUT OF HIS BASE!!   Since all you have is inf and bikes going in his base would be suicide.   Keep the little crap out front to kill any buzz rolling off, while your goose stays back wiping his spice.  Also, your goal is NOT TO KILL HIS UNITS, it is to CHOKE HIS SPICE! (very important).  This means goose always target harv/carryall, while little crap is to protect goose.  Dont rush little crap at him, let his units come to the little crap.    When it does, then attack move into his crap with your crap, while targetting carryalls & harvs with goose.  (Attack move is Ctrl + Shift then target behind the enemy).  All you want is for him to go broke.     Meanwhile, now you are free to make mino's and  fremen/sards while slowly you will mino rush kill him.  Again, like all BO's, unless you manage your units well, the best BO in the world will still not help you win if you make bad mistakes with your units.    This BO is amazing if done properly - yes it can own Harkonnen- and only a very highly skilled player can stop it.
